Biography

Emi started ballet at the age of 4 at Keiko Ballet School in Japan. She moved to Tokyo in junior high school and entered the Momoko Tani Ballet Institute. After graduating from high school, she studied at the Rambert Ballet School in England.  In addition to classical ballet, she studied the fundamentals and techniques of contemporary and jazz dance. After returning to Japan, she joined the Momoko Tani Ballet Company and performed in many performances, including regional performances. Her representative productions include “Swan Lake”, “The Nutcracker”, “Giselle” amongst others. In 1997, Emi joined the New National Theater in Tokyo.

She has been teaching in Singapore since 2004.
