Alice Lau has been a lecturer at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts since 2007. She has taught ballet at the School of the Arts from 2008 to March 2014 and was also a teacher at the Singapore Ballet Academy from 2001 to 2008. A former professional dancer, Alice performed with the Singapore Dance Theatre until 1998 and prior to that, she toured extensively with the Jeune Ballet de France in Paris.
Equally as consummate as her ballet is her flair for playing the piano. Alice graduated with the ARCT Performance Diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto and was an accompanist at the Singapore Ballet Academy for two years before embarking on her teaching career.
