Workshops & Master Classes

Dance is the hidden language of the soul, of the body

Summer Workshops 2023

We were delighted to welcome our co-founder Emmanuelle back to TDP! Emmanuelle, a Danseuse Etoile from the National Opera of Bordeaux, France, held a series of Ballet Masterclasses and Workshops for adults, teens and children. Former and new students could once again experience her special way of teaching which combines beauty of music and movement, for a fluid and expressive dance experience. Ms Licia also held a Jazz & Street Jazz intensive focused on technique work and creative choreography skills. Fast tempo and filled with fun!

Summer Workshops 2022

We were delighted to welcome our students to our 2022 line-up of Summer dance fun! From Jazz, Technique, Expression, Fun & Musicality in the Great Gatsby, to a sass-filled Madonna Medley, our participants had a ton of fun at Ms Emma’s workshops. Ms Emmanuelle held a highly-sought after Flexibility & Movement workshop which focused on coordination, fluidity and freedom of movement. Participants also worked on a choreography which helped develop their artistic sense and sensibility. Well done everyone!

Summer Workshops 2021 for Adults/Teens

What a fun learning experience this summer for our adults as we were exposed to different teachers and different styles. From fast moving choreography in Rachel’s contemporary workshop, to the Malay inspired creativity in Sharul’s contemporary workshop; Ahilya’s contemporary workshop opened our eyes and bodies to a different way to experience and initiate movement influenced by her training in Gaga’s movement language, and Ruimin’s Oriental contemporary workshop taught us the meaning and intention behind each movement founded in Chinese Dance principles. In Alessandra’s Dance Theatre workshop, participants blended movement and music to tell a story without words.

Summer Workshops 2021 for Kids

From our youngest kids who enjoyed a 3 day Disney camp focused on dance/movement, rhythm & musicality and some themed-related arts & crafts. Kids had a wonderful time moving and stomping to the tunes from Beauty & the Beast, Tarzan and The Lion King. Song & Dance workshops were filled with expression and music. Commercial style street jazz workshops taught kids and teens how to be show-ready. A real popular workshop was our Contemporary, Jazz and Street workshops where we took all of Britneys best tracks to create a wow factor mash up! A summer full of creativity, energy and fun!

Classical Ballet Master Class Series

Giselle Masterclass we focused on the Romantic style paying special attention to épaulements and the positioning of the upper body, eyes and arms. The class drew on references and step combinations from this masterpiece and worked on Giselle’s entrance for the 1st and 2nd Acts. Swan Lake Masterclass was an opportunity for students to learn Odette’s variation in the 2nd Act with pointe work.
